Galicia EER2025, developed in collaboration with the Fundación Galicia Europa, is a strategy designed to boost entrepreneurship in rural Galicia through a tailor-made approach.

Xunta de Galicia is building this strategic framework on the basis of existing actions, while at the same time implementing new ones to enhance the value of the Galician rural environment, facilitating acces to both financial and technical support.

To this end, inter-administrative and public-private collaboration will play a key role, as well as the creation of a one-stop shop, which will connect the needs of rural businesses and entrepreneurs with the regional government.

This unique approach adresses characteristical problems of rural areas, such as depopulation and ageing population, thus contributing to the social and economic prosperity of the whole region.

Visibilising this achievement through the European Entrepreneurial Region award (EER) recognises the importance of Galicia’s rural environmente as a catalyst for economic development and consolidates Galicia’s success stories as a benchmark.
